Career
I've worked in healthcare, real estate, and marketing. What I kept coming back to was how much a good experience changes things for people. That's what led me to UX.
I'm Shannon Chen, Taiwanese, born and raised in Auckland. Starting out as an Oral Health Therapist taught me to prioritise people's needs and the importance of a positive experience, especially in
high-pressure environments like a dental clinic. As I moved into real estate and marketing, I realised that same principle applied everywhere.
These experiences shaped how strongly I feel about user experience, and eventually led me back to school for UX design. My goal is to create accessible, intuitive solutions that genuinely improve people's lives.
